Founded in 1807 and restructured in 1971 this technical university has its main campuses in the city of Würzburg and the town of Schweinfurt 42km to the North. It offers a number of Bachelor courses in English including in International Management (Würzburg) and Logistics (Schweinfurt). Situated in south central Germany in the Franconian wine region Würzburg straddles the river Main and is known for its fine baroque and rococo architecture and in particular the magnificent Residenz Palace. With its large student population it has a vibrant café scene and nightlife. Road and rail links are very good. Frankfurt with its large international airport is 119km to the West.
