Founded in 1816 this university occupies a large green campus 14km south of the city centre. It offers Veterinary Science in English. Warsaw suffered great destruction in WWII and the varied architecture reflects its turbulent past. The beautifully restored old town and market square with its pastel buildings contrast with communist concrete and modern steel and glass buildings. Today it is a vibrant and lively city of culture with excellent transport links.
