Founded in 2003 this university has two main centres in Leeuwarden and in Velp. The beautiful historic city of Leeuwarden in Friesland in north-west Netherlands is one of the least populated areas of the country. It is surrounded by lakes nature reserves and recreational areas. Here Bachelor degree courses in English are offered for example in Coastal and Marine Management Food Technology International Business. The small town of Velp is 154km further south and close to Arnhem. At the green campus a number of Bachelor courses in English are offered for example in Animal Husbandry Agribusiness and Forestry and Nature Management. Road and rail links to major cities are very good.
