Overview

With its beginnings in the 19th century Mechanics’ Institute Wolverhampton gained university status in 1992 and has four campuses across the West Midlands of England, Shropshire and Staffordshire. The main undergraduate campuses are Wolverhampton and Walsall which is home to the Institute of Sport and the Performance Hub. The buzzing and student-friendly city of Wolverhampton is 28 minutes by train and 24km northwest of Birmingham. Walsall is 12.5km north of Birmingham and 9.5km east of Wolverhampton. It has good transport links. The university offers a broad range of courses, many of which are applied. It has a specialist course in Deaf Studies & English.
