This is one of the country’s largest modern universities with four distinctive campuses in southwest Scotland. The newest is Ayr (2011) set in beautiful woodland surroundings close to the west coast and developed with SRUC ( a rural college); Paisley, 19km west of Glasgow, is the largest and a city centre campus; Hamilton, 22km south of Glasgow, currently offers Nursing and Midwifery; Dumfries on the Crichton Estate in the Borders, 120km south of Glasgow, is the smallest campus and has beautiful historic buildings and small class sizes; there is also a London campus. All the campuses have good road and rail links to Glasgow.
