This large research university is situated in Szeged in Csongrád in the southern great plain. Originally founded in Cluj (now in Romania) it moved in 1921 and offers a number of courses in English for example Business Administration and Management and Dental Medicine. The old town sits astride the Tisza River and is known for its thermal baths and art nouveau buildings. It lies 174km south-east of Budapest and has a small international airport.
