This University was formed in 1998 when a number of institutions merged and is the third largest in Denmark. It has campuses in South Denmark and Zealand and joint programmes with the universities of Flensburg and Kiel in Germany. It offers 67 programmes in English including in Engineering and Business. The Odense campus is the largest. Odense the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen is an attractive town with plenty to do and lots of historic sites. It has a small international airport and good transport links.
