University of Social Sciences and Humanities

Overview

Founded in 1996 this private university is housed in the historic 1920s building of the High Voltage Apparatus and Devices Factory. It is in a rapidly developing quarter Old Praga about 4.4km east of the old town. At the School of Form in Poznan it offers Product Design and at the Warsaw campus there are language programmes International Business and Psychology in English. Warsaw suffered great destruction in WWII and the varied architecture reflects its turbulent past. The beautifully restored old town and market square with its pastel buildings contrast with communist concrete and modern steel and glass buildings. Today it is a vibrant and lively city of culture with excellent transport links.
