Overview

Granted independent university status in 2004, the first college, Whitelands, was founded in 1841 to pioneer the training of women teachers. Four highly regarded teacher training institutions amalgamated to form Roehampton. Its parkland campus in southwest London is within easy reach of central London.It now offers a wide range of undergraduate degrees and it has achieved recognition for Dance research and the Early Childhood Studies is informed by Froebelian principles of developing the whole person.
