University of Reading

Overview

The town of Reading is 60km west of London and enjoys excellent road rail and air links. The University College of Reading was founded in 1892 and its Royal Charter was conferred in 1926. The main buildings are set in 130 hectares of parkland including a botanical garden. The original London Rd site is close by and both campuses are within walking distance of the town centre. Students can choose to spend time overseas, from a few days to an academic year, and the university has a campus in Malaysia and a Business School in South Africa. A wide variety of traditional and newer courses are offered. New undergraduate students are guaranteed a place in hall if they make Reading their firm UCAS choice.
