Overview

Portsmouth is an historic port city and naval base with a proud maritime heritage. The Tudor flagship Mary Rose can be seen in the Dockyard Museum. Situated on Portsea Island in Hampshire on the south coast there are very good road and rail links to London (about 90km). The university has its roots in the 19th century and was granted university status in 1992. The main campus is in the compact city and a free shuttle bus runs to the Langstone student vilage and sports’ site. A broad range of traditional and more modern applied degree courses are offered.
