Founded in 1367 this is the oldest university in Hungary. Pecs is a pleasant city with a mild microclimate allowing the production of almonds and wine. It has historic buildings including the 4th century UNESCO listed Necropolis of Sopianae. It lies 208km south-west of Budapest and is served by a small international airport. It offers a number of programmes in English including Physiotherapy Nursing and Medicine. Medical students will be expected to learn some Hungarian.
