University of Limerick

Overview

The University of Limerick was founded in 1972 and became a university in 1989. It has over 11600 students and was the Sunday Times University of the Year 2015. It is situated on a riverside campus of more than 133 hectares 5km from Limerick City. A lot of on-campus accommodation is reserved for first year students. Adjacent to the university is the National Technology Park Ireland’s first science and technology park.
