Overview

Established in 1789 this is the oldest chartered university in Canada. Situated on the edge of the Dalhousie campus, King’s follows the model of a small Oxford or Cambridge college. Students, staff and the President all live and work together. Students have access to the Dalhousie facilities and the partnership allows them to combine and customise their study programs. A bachelor course in Journalism is awarded exclusively by King’s. Downtown Halifax is within walking distance. Halifax, the provincial capital of Nova Scotia, is situated on the Atlantic coast and is regarded as one of the friendliest cities in the world. Haligonians (the people of Halifax) enjoy a vibrant and thriving arts, theatre, live music and culinary scene. This green city with its parks and open spaces also offers plenty of outdoor activities including, surfing, kayaking and sailing. Halifax has an international airport.
