Overview

Founded in 1891 the university situated in Sweden’s second largest city offers a Bachelor programme in English in Music. University buildings are spread across the city which is known for its Dutch style canals and leafy boulevards. It is a city of contrasts from the 19th century wooden houses of Haga to neoclassical architecture and heavy industry and the Volvo Museum. Recently voted the most ‘sociable’ place in the world it boasts a contemporary scene and the striking Älvsborg Bridge which links the two halves of the city across the river. The Liseberg Amusement Park and great parks together with the ‘green’ public transport system make this one of the most ecological cities. It has an international airport and excellent transport links – road rail air and ferry.
