Overview

The university is situated in the city of Norwich in the East of England. Norwich is renowned for its impressive Norman cathedral, historical buildings, night-life and much more. The beautiful North Norfolk coast with its sandy and shingle beaches is a mecca for birdwatchers. The green 370 acre campus, within walking distanceof the city centre, boasts Denys Lasdun designed Ziggurats and the Foster designed Sainsbury Centre home to a fine collection of world art. Founded in 1963 the university quickly became renowned for its pioneering courses in Environmental Science and Creative Writing. There is a sports’ park with an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Norwich has good road and rail links to London and Cambridge and an airport.
