Overview

Together with the College of Opera and the Academy of Dramatic Arts this school of Dance and Circus is known as UNIARTS. Opened in 1963 it was renamed in 2010. It offers training for careers in the circus and dance and has Bachelor courses in Circus and Dance Performance in English. The campus is situated about 3.6km north of the city centre. The capital city of Stockholm in south central Sweden is where Lake Mälaran flows into the Baltic Sea and stretches over 14 islands linked by bridges and ferries. The Swedes call the city ‘beauty on water’. The old town (Gamla Stan) boasts razor thin cobblestone streets a 13th century cathedral and fine ochre coloured buildings. It is a city renowned for its good design and as a foodie hub. In the winter there is skating on Lake Mälaran. Transport links are very good – ferry road rail and air.
