Founded in 1945 as part of Bolyai University (Cluj) this Medical School offers Medicine in English. Târgu (or Tirgu) Mure? is in Transylvania in north central Romania. It is bilingual Hungarian and Romanian. This small city with its cathedral is within reach of many of many major tourist sites for example the UNESCO listed medieval town of Sighisoara with its citadel splendid gingerbread roofs and turrets and home to Vlad the Impaler or Sovata with its salt lakes for swimming. The university has an extensive botanical garden and dendrological park. There is a small international airport and a good bus service and some trains. Cluj Napoca is 108km to the North.
