Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance

Overview

In 2005 Trinity College of Music, founded in 1872, and the Laban Dance Centre, founded in 1948, merged to become the UK’s only Conservatoire of Music and Contemporary Dance. It is situated on the south bank of the Thames in East London next to Greenwich University and Greenwich Park. The Laban Building, designed by Herzog and de Meuron, is the world’s largest purpose built contemporary dance centre and contrasts with the historic King Charles Court in the Old Royal Naval College which is home to the music conservatoire. The teaching staff is made up of highly respected musicians and dance artists. Greenwich has very good transport links.
