Overview

TRU was originally founded in 1970 as Cariboo College and renamed in 2005. It offers a range of courses including Pre Medicine and Pre Dentistry. It is situated on the southwest edge of the small town of Kamloops, which is in the traditional territory of the Secwepemc people. Kamloops means ‘melting of the waters’ – it lies on the junction of the North Thompson and South Thompson Rivers in the South of British Columbia. It is an area of rolling hills with a sparkling lake and boasts world class sporting facilities. The Williams Lake campus is 292km to the North. Vancouver is 350km to the West and 45 minutes by air.
