Overview

One of the new universities founded in the sixties, Warwick was awarded its Royal Charter in 1965 and soon acquired a worldwide reputation. The green 290 hectare campus is 6.5km south of Coventry town centre. Coventry, with its iconic cathedral which integrates modern Basil Spence architecture with medieval remains, is situated in the Midlands of England and has excellent transport links- road, rail and air. It is less than half an hour by train to Birmingham and just over an hour from London. First year undergraduates who make Warwick their Firm choice are guaranteed university managed accommodation. Economics at Warwick is highly regarded and the university is one of the few which offers a degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics and Economics, Politics & International Studies.
