The main campus is situated in the World Heritage cathedral city of Canterbury in Kent in southeast England close to the beautiful Kent countryside, called the garden of England, and to the coast and within easy reach of France. Founded in 1965 and set in 300 acres of parkland the purpose built university is 3km north of the city centre. The Medway campus at Chatham has strong links with Greenwich University. Tonbridge is home to some postgraduate courses. Kent is proud of its world and European links. It is the only UK university in the Erasmus Mundus Lotus Project linking 9 EU universities with 11 in SouthEast Asia. Kent also has centres in Brussels, Paris, Athens and Rome and offers some courses which have dual UK and European qualifications.
