Overview

Manchester, the first great industrial city, is today a friendly, cosmopolitan and a vibrant, major cultural and entertainment centre in the northwest of England. It is home to the National Football Museum and over 100,000 students. The BBC’s Media City and the Lowry Art Gallery are in Salford.This is the largest further education college in the UK. It offers a wide range of courses – NVQ’s, HND’s etc and a small number of practical and applied degrees and top up degrees. The main campus is about 7km east of the city centre, but the Arden School of Theatre is at the Nicholls Campus in Ardwick close to the city centre.
