Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts

Overview

Founded in 1995 by Mark Featherstone-Witty RNOM OBE and Sir Paul McCartney LIPA is housed in grade 2 listed buildings with outstanding modern facilities for the teaching of all aspects of acting, applied theatre, dance, music and sound technology etc. in central Liverpool. Many of the courses have an 80% practical assessment and 20% written. Some courses require a LIPA in addition to a UCAS application and there are auditions. The vibrant and cultural city of Liverpool in northwest England has excellent transport links.
