Founded in 1991 the university occupies a green campus five minutes from the sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea in north-east Germany. It offers a Bachelor degree in Leisure and Tourism Management in English. The small medieval Hanseatic town with its brick built gothic old town hall is a UNESCO world heritage site. It has very good transport links and from the nearby ferry port there are sailings to Sweden.
