SRUC Scotland’s Rural College

Overview

In 2012 four colleges merged to become SRC with six main campuses which offer qualifications from HND/Cs to degree level. The college aims to provide educational and business support to Scotland’s land-based industries. Degrees relating to farming and the countryside are available at Ayr, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Studies can be undertaken either full- or part-time. These degrees are awarded by Glasgow and Edinburgh Universities. Ayr is situated about 60km south of Glasgow on the west coast of Scotland, the Edinburgh campus is 4km south of the city centre and the Aberdeen site is 8km northwest of Aberdeen on the Craibstone Estate. All the campuses have good transport links.
