Ryerson University

With its roots in a Teacher Training Facility founded in 1852, Ryerson was permitted degree granting powers in 1971 and renamed Ryerson University in 2001. Today it offers career focused and innovative programs, which combine theory with professional learning. It is one of only two Canadian universities to offer a program in Aerospace Engineering and is home Canada’s largest undergraduate business school. The urban campus is situated in downtown Toronto. Toronto is on the southwestern shore of Lake Ontario and this provincial capital is the largest city in Canada. It is perhaps the most multi-culturally diverse city in the world. Half Toronto’s residents were born outside Canada. The Art Gallery of Toronto houses the best collection of Canadian artworks. Cultural events include an International Film Festival and the city has some excellent restaurants and eateries. Toronto has very good transport links and is within easy reach of Niagara Falls and beautiful landscapes.
