Founded in 1827 this is Sweden’s largest and most respected technical university with campuses in and around Stockholm. All programmes have a strong practical focus and it offers a Bachelor degree in Information and Communication Technology in English. Fee paying students are guaranteed accommodation for the first year. The main Stockholm campus is situated about 3.5km north of the city centre close to the city park. The capital city of Stockholm in south central Sweden is where Lake Mälaran flows into the Baltic Sea and stretches over 14 islands linked by bridges and ferries. The Swedes call the city ‘beauty on water’. The old town (Gamla Stan) boasts razor thin cobblestone streets a 13th century cathedral and fine ochre coloured buildings. It is a city renowned for its good design and as a foodie hub. In the winter there is skating on Lake Mälaran. Transport links are very good- ferry road rail and air.
