Founded as the Drawing Academy in 1682 KABK in collaboration with Leiden University’s Academy of Creative Arts since 2001 offers Bachelor courses in English in Textiles Fine Art and Graphic Design. It is situated five minutes from the Mauritshuis (home to Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’) and is close to the 100 hectares of green Haage Bos one of the oldest remaining forests in the country. Den Haag is the home of Dutch politics and is green and cycle-friendly. The Peace Palace houses the International Court of Justice and makes the city the centre for world justice. In the Municipal Museum are Mondrian’s major works. Transport links are very good.
