With its roots in the London Hospital Medical College (1785) Queen Mary has undergone many changes and a number of well known institutions, including St Bartholomew’s Medical School, have amalgamated to form QMU. Its Mile End campus, founded to provide East Londoners with cultural, educational and social activities, is now one of the largest self-contained campuses in the capital.
