Founded in 1573 this is the oldest university in Moravia. The town lies in the gently rolling basin of the river Morava close to the mountains where there is skiing in winter. It has beautiful old town centre and is 2 hours from the capital city of Prague with its international transport links and less than two hours by train to the small airport of Brno. Students make up 20% of the population. The university offers Medicine and Dentistry in English.
