Founded in 1971 this institution has two main campuses- in Krefeld in north-west Germany close to Germany’s industrial heartland and the city of Düsseldorf; 20km to the south-west of Krefeld is Mönchen Gladbach also on the left bank of the Rhine and half an hour from the Dutch border. This town was the centre of the textile industry and is the greenest town in the Rhineland. Here a Bachelor degree in Textile and Clothing Management is offered in English. The university specialises in courses which are both academic and applied. Both towns have very good transport links.
