This University originally a College for tourism dates from 1966. It is the largest and a leading educational institution offering degrees in tourism and leisure in the world. In addition to hotel and tourism related courses in English there are Bachelor courses in International Logistics Management and Creative Business and more. It is within walking distance of the historic town centre. The small and lively city of Breda is situated on the confluence of two rivers. It was a fortified city and boasts fine late medieval buildings. Today the squares and charming waterfront bustle with activity and friendly cafés and restaurants. It has excellent rail and road links to the great cities of Amsterdam to the North (108km) and Brussels (93km) to the South with their international airports.
