The college is situated in the heart of rural Northamptonshire in the southeast Midlands of England, but has bus links to Kettering and Northampton (8km) from where main-line trains run to Birmingham and London and it is in easy reach of fast roads. The Institute of Agriculture was founded in 1921 and to-day the college offers courses at all levels including Foundation and Honours Degrees. It specialises in animal, agricultural, equine, sports’ and land management courses and with its 509 hectares of farmland practical learning is fundamental to the philosophy and the teaching.
