This institution achieved university status in 2005. It offers a Bachelor programme in Ecotechnology at its Östersund campus which is very close to the city centre. Known as Sweden’s number one winter city Östersund is situated in the centre of Sweden on the shores of Lake Storsjön in Jämtland. It has a subarctic climate and is a top winter sports’ centre and close to a stunning wilderness. It is said that approaching the city by car you will see as many reindeer as cars. There is a small airport and very good transport connections.
