This University is situated in north-east Poland close to the border with Lithuania to the North and Belarus to the East. The medical school is housed in the beautiful baroque Branicki Palace (17th century) with its beautiful park right in the city centre. Bia?ystok known for its green spaces boasts a mixed Polish and Belarusian culture and it is the hub for the Podlasie region with its four national parks – the green lungs of Poland. There are good train links to the capital Warsaw 2 hours 30 minutes (200km) with its international airport. It is 240km from the airport at Kaunas in Lithuania.
