This private not for profit foundation is Sweden’s most international university. JIBS the International Business School opened its doors in 1994 and offers four Bachelor programmes in English. Courses usually include a semester abroad at a partner university. New international students are guaranteed accommodation. Situated in south central Sweden 150km and 2 hours 33 minutes by train from Gothenburg on the west coast this small city is situated on the shores of Lake Vättern Europe’s sixth largest lake. Jönköping with its long lakeside beach lies in an area of lakes wooded hills and wetlands and is known as the Jerusalem of Sweden because of its numerous churches and religious buildings of many denominations. It is the birthplace of the safety match and there is a match museum. It has good transport links. The nearest international airport is at Gothenburg.
