Overview

Founded in 1969 this public university has been offering Medicine in English since 2016 a four year graduate course for students with an appropriate preliminary degree and a six year course for school-leavers. It is the only university in the region. The city is undergoing renovation following the socialist years and is situated in the hilly area close to the Swietokrzyski National Park and mountains home to the Polish larch and where there is skiing hiking and canoeing. Kielce lies between Warsaw 180km to the north and Krakow 116km to the south. It has good bus and train services to these cities with their international airports.
