One of Britain’s youngest universities, Glyndwr achieved university status in 2008. The main campus is situated in Wrexham in the northeast of Wales with subsidiary campuses in St Asaph, courses in Opto Electronics, in Northop, land based and rural courses, and the most recent addition is in Kingston upon Thames, London. Wrexham has good road and rail links to the great northern cities of Liverpool and Manchester with their international airports. It is also in easy reach of beautiful countryside and the Welsh coast. The majority of courses are taught at the Plas Coch campus which is a 10 minute walk from Wrexham town centre. In the Guardian survey the School of Art and Design was named as the best place to study Art in Wales.
