Overview

Situated in the heart of the cathedral city of Durham with good transport links, the university combines traditional values and modern facilities. Students are a member of one of sixteen colleges and, while all teaching is undertaken in the faculties, the college provides academic and pastoral support and a wide range of opportunities and facilities, for example sporting. The university is consistently in the top ten in the UK and The Music Department is ranked first in the Sunday Times University League Table 2017.
