Concordia University of Edmonton

Overview

Concordia was granted its degree awarding status in 1995 and was renamed Concordia University of Edmonton in 2015. It is a boutique university, which offers a small number of bachelor programs including in Music. It is situated in the large modern city of Edmonton close to the North Saskatchewan River and the River Valley Highlands. Edmonton, the capital of Alberta province in the West of Canada, is very cold for much of the year and offers outdoor sporting activities for example skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. It is known as Canada’s Festival City because it hosts so many and such a variety of festivals throughout the year. The Elk Island National Park, which boasts the highest density of wild hoofed animals in the world outside the Serengeti, is just 49km from Concordia. Edmonton has an international airport and very good road links.
