Brescia University College

Overview

An affiliate of Western University and Canada’s only women’s university, this originally Roman Catholic institution was founded in 1919 and is primarily a small undergraduate university, which offers a limited number of bachelor courses, for example a BSc. in Food and Nutrition. Degrees are awarded by Western University and students have access to its resources. The campus is situated about 4.5km north of London city centre in the province of Ontario. London lies midway between Toronto and Detroit, USA, and close to Lake Erie. It is called the Forest City because it boasts more than 200 parks, woodlands and meadows. The city has a large student population and a young upbeat feel. There are a number of historic buildings and museums including Banting House, once the home of the man who conceived of the idea of extracting insulin from the pancreas. The city has an international airport.
