Overview

A new university, given degree awarding status in 1992, Bath Spa has much older origins – the Bath School of Art, founded over 160 years ago. Art and Design is taught in the city centre at Sion Hill and other undergraduate courses at the Newton Park campus with its modern facilities set in parkland featuring Capability Brown landscape gardens,a nature reserve,a lake and woods. A regular bus service runs to Bath city centre 6.5km away. Many of the creative degrees have an emphasis on performance and include a course in Contemporary Circus with Physical Performance. Bath is in southwest England about 184km west of London to where there are good road and rail links.
