Established in the 19th century as a specialist institution this university merged with other art colleges in 1965. It was awarded degree awarding powers in 2008 and became a full university in 2012. The main Wallsdown Campus is situated in Poole close to Bournemouth on the south coast of England. The university, which has a Platinum Eco Campus Award, offers a range of creative bachelor degree courses including Film Production, Dance and Creative Writing and much more. It is proud of its graduate employment rate and has strong links with industry. Former graduates have worked on Oscar winning films. It is close to the M3 and London is just under 2 hours away by train.
