Named after John Ruskin who opened the Cambridge College of Art in 1858, the university now has three campuses in the East of England and one in London. The main campus is in the ancient university city of Cambridge, about 95km north of London. All the campuses have good road and rail links and state-of-the-art teaching facilities and some courses are available at more than one campus.The university offers a wide range of courses, many of which are vocational or combine practical and academic content. It is a leader in the field of health and social care. In 2016 the university won the Duke of Edinburgh Award for University Entrepreneurship for enterprise and innovation throughout the curriculum.
