Aeres University of Applied Sciences

Overview

This small university has two main campuses at Dronten and Almere. It focuses on agribusiness food horticulture and animal science. At Almere it offers a Bachelor degree in English in European Food Business and at Dronten a number of courses including Food Chain Management and International Horticulture and Management. There is stabling and students may bring their horse. Dronten is a small new town 54 minutes by train to the North of Amsterdam and was built on land reclaimed from the sea. Its modern architecture is complemented by green areas parks and opportunities for water sports and golf. Almere also only 35 years old has a fine city centre campus and is a green town. It is only half an hour from the great city of Amsterdam where some students prefer to live. Amsterdam has a huge international airport (Schipol).
