Known as VGTU this university was founded in 1956 and lies to the east of Vilnius town centre. It offers Bachelor degrees in Engineering subjects and Business Administration in English. It also has a course in Aircraft Piloting for students who must be 26 years of age. Vilnius is the largest city in the Baltic States and is known as the baroque beauty of the Baltic. The old town with its medieval buildings and cobbled alleys is UNESCO listed. Vilnius is proud of its architectural heritage its modern glass and steel buildings and its relaxed café culture. It has a small international airport close to the city.
