Overview

Located in in the southeast of England in Guildford and close to the Surrey Hills and the South Downs, the university was granted its Royal Charter in 1966 but has 19th century roots in Battersea Polytechnic Institute. Guildford has excellent transport links and is just an hour by train from London. The Stag Hill campus is adjacent to Guildford Cathedral and Manor Park with its sports’ facilities is 1.5km away. Specialising in science, business and engineering the university gained top place in the Guardian University Guide 2016 for its programmes in Hospitality & Tourism and Music. First year undergraduate students are guaranteed accommodation (conditions apply).
