Founded in 1813 the conservatory is part of a network of musical conservatoires in Europe and offers theoretical and practical instrumental tuition in historical classical and jazz music. Its two main sites are situated in the heart of Brussels. Brussels is home not only to the Council of Europe and the EU Parliament but is also a capital city with a vibrant modern culture beautiful historic sites and buildings and art galleries including a cartoon gallery. Brussels has excellent transport links and is only 90 minutes from Paris.
