Situated in the centre of this historic and culturally vibrant city in the East of England the university, originally the Norwich School of Art and Design was founded in 1845 and renamed in 2008. It gained its university title in 2012. It is a specialist arts, design, architecture and media institute. It has some accommodation within walking distance of the campus. Norwich has very good road and rail links to London which is about 160 kilometres to the south and easy access to the beautiful east coast.
